Longing for the Light
Aficionados and amateurs alike find all genres of folk art from the Erzgebirge region ranging from woodturning crafts to toys. More than 1000 exhibits prove the richness of imagination of craftspeople, artisans and folk artists. Visitors take a journey through time starting 200 years ago. But they also experience traditional folk art from the different regions of the Erzgebirge mountain range from the east to the Vogtland region in the west. You will hardly come across another exhibition in the Erzgebirge region that is as beautiful as ours. We particularly want your children to enjoy their time at our museum!
