Weddings at Scharfenstein Castle
We can marry you!
Together with the relevant registry office, The Must-See Three will create the perfect setting for the happiest day of your life. A truly unique wedding atmosphere awaits you and your guests, whether in the late-baroque Counts’ Library of Lichtenwalde Castle, the ceremonial wedding hall and rustic Glücksschmiede at Augustusburg Castle, or the medieval Scharfenstein Castle.
After the ceremony, The Must-See Three will also be available for your wedding reception. Individual rooms and even parts of the Lichtenwalde Castle gardens can be hired out depending on the size of your party.
The 13th-century castle with its unique historic character will make the most wonderful day of your life even more memorable. Converted to a stately residence in the 16th century, Scharfenstein Castle now enjoys tremendous popularity as a wedding venue. One very special highlight is the Renaissance portal through which you enter and leave the castle, an architectural feature that was added by Heinrich Hildebrand just in time for the wedding to his bride Sophie. Our Festsaal (Festive Hall) in the former church wing is decorated in warm colours and is just the right size for a wedding reception with seating for seventy guests. The array of extras on offer guarantees that your special day will be a unique event. You can check out the Wedding Hall during normal opening hours – our staff will be pleased to show you around and answer your questions. Please give us advance notice of any such visit.
