Renaissance meets bikes

Augustusburg Motorcycle Museum
The Motorcycle Museum houses one of the largest and most extensive collections of two-wheelers in Europe. In an impressive 1200 m² exhibition space, 175 fascinating exhibits chronicle the technical development of the motorcycle from 1885 to the present day. Highlights include the re-staging of motorsports events by means of historical film footage, a sound simulator, and numerous prototypes and one-off models showcasing the history of vehicle technology. Each year in January, August and on 3 October, the museum hosts meetings for bikers and classic cars, turning Augustusburg Castle into an open-air museum and attracting fans from across Europe.
